Anyone watching the fight tonight? I'm not but will check for the results.

Main: Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3

I don't spend the money for the PPV fights but I do watch the preliminaries. They have some really good fights and fighters. Like to see Connor get his head handed to him, not sure what will happen. If Poirier will give Connor some time to get winded I think it could happen.

Poirier get's a TKO in the 1st round. McGregor appears to break his ankle at the end of the first round. So much for his trash talking. REPORT: "It's McGregor going to work with leg kicks this time, committing to several early on in the first round. Poirier fires back with a good straight left that stuns McGregor, then bulls him back toward the fence. McGregor jumps for a guillotine choke and it looks tight. Poirier elevates his hips to relieve the pressure and escapes. Poirier going to work in McGregor's guard now, blasting him with elbows. McGregor tries to elbow back, throws off some upkicks when Poirier stands, but Poirier keeps the pressure on. Finally, Poirier backs off and McGregor gets up with seconds to go in the round. Another good left from Poirier sits him back down almost immediately. Poirier pours on the punches until the horn blows to end the round.

McGregor can't get up as his corner rushes in to get him on the stool between rounds. Replay shows he rolled over on his left foot while being dropped by Poirier's punch near the end of the round. Referee Herb Dean is waving it off without starting the second round. This one is over, and Poirier has won again."

Just watched the fight on you tube this morning. No one closer than 40 miles of me shows the fights anymore. I did watch the prelims last night. Hated to see Conor break his leg, would have rather seen Poirier knock him out. Oh well. I won $25 bucks on the fight.

Conor is only 32,so maybe he'll drop down and keep fighting.

All that mouthy stuff helps contribute to higher income for the sport. Ali was probably best at provoking folks and many would watch just to see if someone would shut him up,if only for a few moments.

Edit: I just heard of him insulting Dustin's wife and Ali never did that kind of stuff. Conor is worse than I'd thought.
