Saw a 41 mag Redhawk this afternoon, SS, 5.5" barrel.
The letter U appears to have been stamped just above the serial number on the bottom of the frame at the end of the grips, and the front sight was a solid bright neon orange. The fellow behind the counter said the U and the front sight were there because Ruger had used this particular Redhawk in some kind of testing at the factory.
Was the fellow's story true? What, if anything, does the U and the orange front sight do to the value?
