Just received my pistol back from Bobby Tyler @ Tyler Gun Works in Friona Texas. Seems like it took forever and there were some communication issues but it turned out GREAT! Started out as an "OM" Vaquero in 45 Colt that I wanted converted to 38-40 and engraved to honor my Chickasaw/Cherokee heritage. Bobby made a new cylinder, and installed a Colt SAA barrel. I had Partick Grashorn make me some bighorn sheep grips and a matching Bowie from Bark River. The leather work is a re-constructed money belt and holster from EPS. Conchos are Mexican 5 centavo pieces from E-Bay. Holster and sheath are laced with synthetic sinew.

Hi,

You're almost there!

Let's take your original URL:

Then add the [img} tags (I made them red to be easier to spot:

And a beautiful picture should show up, like this:

It'll get easier after you start settling into the routine.

We vacationed this past June with Bobby Tyler in New Mexico. We were mighty impressed with his gunwork and he was a most pleasant fellow also. My only problem was figuring just just what I wanted him to do. Lordy, he does it ALL!!!
And so it goes...

Anybody else got pictures of Bobby's work? My two Colt SAAs he refinished are, alas, on Photobucket. I'll get some new pics and post them.

I have a bunch on PB . When I want to retrieve them I grit my teeth, fight thru all the ads to eventually get to my pictures. Left click on the pic to open it fully, right click on the pic, select "save picture as" and save it back to a folder on my computer. From there I can upload it to Imgur for re-posting somewhere. I do a few at a time until I get frustrated with PB and quit before I take a hammer to my computer.
