Did they ever make such a revolver in a new model single six? I just saw one for sale in great condition with no box for $325 on the tag. I believe the serial number prefix was 280. Is this an unusual dealer special or just a standard single six with a polished grip frame?

Thanks, Clyde

You have most likely figured it out.............. polished grip frames show up quite often. Not a Factory modification, though. Ruger's not "shined up" a Single-Six grip frame since the glorious days of the Factory Engraved Single-Sixes!

The '76 issued Colorado Centennial, IIRC, had a stainless steel grip frame on a blued gun BUT it wasn't "high polished".
