Yesterday I put brass in my 2 tumblers about mid-morning and turned them on and went out side to do yard work. I totally forgot about them for about 15 hours before I remembered and turned them off. I think the longest I have ever tumbled any before was about 4 hours and never had a problem with it. One tumbler had crushed walnut shells and the other had corncob as the media with no polishing additives. I think the longest I have ever tumbled any was about 4 hours and never had a problem with it. Did I weaken the brass and deem it useless after that long tumbling time? Your feedback is appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks for all the feedback. I thought it would be ok but I needed some confirmation and boy does it shine.

Thanks again.

I TUMBLE EVERYTHING TWELVE HOURS, from six in the morning till six at night, and put in the next batches. Sometimes the tumblers run for months on end.
And WHY would you ever think tumbling would weaken that brass ?
