Hi Folks

I have a ruger mark 1 that my dad got in the 60's. I am using it in bullseye league. I am wondering if the volquartsen trigger kit for the mark 2 will fit in the mark 1. I would like to improve the trigger pull. I it doesn't is there a kit that does and where do I get it.
Thank You Craig

You can use the Volquartsen target sear and trigger made for the Ruger Mark II in your Mark I. The only drawback is the thumb safety will be capable of being engaged with the hammer in the forward or released position. Other than that the pistol will operate with all other functions the same as with the factory parts installed.

My bull barrel MK1 made in 1969 has a good trigger. It does have a little free play but I'm used to it so that doesn't bother me. Not as good as a M41 but close. Now my MK11 slab side had a terrible trigger. Ruger used to put good triggers on the MK1's.
