Tri-color grips?

Am eyeing a Ruger Tri-color and am wondering if brown synthetic grips would be considered correct for this model as the others I've seen have black grips? Any info is appreciated.

The black grips have a tendency to fade to a brown over time.

If you want them brown, put some WD40 on them. Please don't ask me how I know.

You can dye them back to original color if I remember right. I think it was ritz dye or something like that

Yep. I used a coffee can full of boiling water and a full package of RIT black die powder. Slosh 'em around in there and check 'em out 'til you like the results, then cold water flush. I lightly oil them afterwards.
