I make these for my tool boxes for work. Just out of a piece of galvanized smoke pipe.

Using my brush guard as a jig

The four pill bottles will support the tray. Sometimes I just put screws through the box as supports.

There are two trays stacked together here. Getting ready to turn that pipe hanger into a handle.

These are the only tool boxes that last me more than a year. These last 20+ years. As a bonus I can stand on these. The last one was a .50 cal can this one is bigger for linked 5.56 aka “Fat 50”

Somebody use to sell HD plastic ones. I have a set of three for 50 caliber boxes. I may have gotten them from Sportsman Guide many years ago.

Not bad but I found a better use for Ammo cans... I put ammo in them. :)

I never thought of that? Lol. Rest assured I have plenty with ammo in them too. Some with tow chains in them. Some with tools. I must have 50 or 60 ammo cans.

I love that they are water proof, but its a double edged sword. If you seal in even a drop of water, it will evaporate and condense inside the can forever coating everything with rust.
