Back when I first left the comfort of Southern living and started traveling/working in other regions of the US. I had to ask for an addition glass of ice with drinks or insist they fill with Ice before adding the drink. I recall my local companions used that same argument about I was being "cheated" by not getting as much "soda" that I was paying for. That was 40 years ago!

People need to realize that they are also paying for the ice, and the cup, and the straw.

It's rediculous to sue over too much ice. But her claim does have a very valid point. I love Sbux iced coffee but if you don't specify "light ice" when ordering, the cup is literally jammed with ice, so much the straw can't get in the cup. More than a few times, I've had a Sbux barista leave the cup 3/4 full, where the ice should have been. I'm not joking. So yeah, ice is the cheapest ingredient, I can see the woman's point of view. Sbux wants to save money at the expense of the customer.

And while you'd think that the lawyers could find enough idiots such as her to get their (law firm) names in the paper......something like this one pops up. An actual lawyer filing on their own behalf because a restaurant ran out of "the soup special of the day" .....yeah, this boy ain't doin nothing but looking for (and receiving) free advertising. On a saner note, he has since retracted the threatened lawsuit..... allegedly because of "threats" that he has been receiving........(probably from his fellow lawyers, who mostly just hang their heads when they see this kinda stuff)....... :shock:

IF you DON'T LIKE HOW THEY SERVE , DON'T GO TO STARBUCKS AND DON'T ORDER THAT DRINK !!
