Maybe something tactical and will also be used for small critters. So what are my options ? I`m kinda torn between a 10/22 and Marlin model 60 so convince me on what`s a better choice.

Right. Buy a 10/22 and you can shoot it all your life right out of the box, or spend the price of a nice Anschutz rifle "accessorizing" it to within an inch of its life.BlkHawk73 said:What you buy as a Marlin is about all you can do to them where as a Ruger the accessory possibilities are almost endless.
Right. I have a CZ 452 bolt rifle that's much more accurate than my 10/22, but truth to tell, I don't shoot it much. I figger I'll have plenty of time to shoot that when the marxists outlaw semiautos, and/or the price of even the cheapest .22 bulk ammo gets to 25c a shot. :lol:Yosemite Sam said:OTOH, I have a Savage MkII bull barrel bolt gun that'll shoot rings around a stock 10/22. I put a RifleBasix trigger on it, but didn't have to, and probably wouldn't go that route again. Plus, these days this gun comes with Savage's Accutrigger. A bit more expensive, but it all comes down to what you want to do. Will you get more enjoyment out of "building" and accessorizing the 10/22, or are you looking for the cheapest way to get really small groups? You can't take the bolt gun out with a 50 round mag and blast away, either. There's no shame in any of those things, it's just what you want to do.
