Was watching the War Wagon today and noticed that the Gattling gun didn't have a magazine in it yet fired numerous rounds. The 'stick' mag was about 24 inches tall and there wasn't
that much space between the top of the gun and the bottom of the roof. I know, it's movies.

I especially enjoyed the attention to detail for The Train robbers.

The gang left town for a multiple day journey with flat saddle bags. Wayne's horse didn't even include a bed role.

The first night they drank from a 1 gallon coffee pot, or larger. Guess that was hidden behind a rock.

Then the hundreds of rounds of ammo they fired toward the end. Guess it was stored & waiting for them at the train.

One of my better liked Wayne movies, but the details were horrid.

Movies are entertainment and not meant to be reality......otherwise I could never watch Top Gun or Flight of The Intruder without a belly ache.....just enjoy them or don't watch them.

My wife is addicted to Lifetime/Hallmark or some goofy channel like that which shows Christmas romance crap all year round and other silly stuff that often includes military members in the story.....it's such a joke to see the errors in the uniforms, grooming standards and etiquette. But I laugh it off if I happen to be in the room she's watching them. which results in a stare and my removal.....I did read where these channels didn't feel it was worth hiring military consultants as their target audience really wouldn't notice or care if they did.

I like the snow that’s always falling, but never sticks to anyone’s clothes.

I've honestly not invested enough time in them to notice but I'm sure that's accurate. I have noticed in the glimpses that all females are perfectly dressed and attractive even when doing the most mundane thing...like waking up...lol....it's the perfect world. NOT.....my comments are met with a loud answer of "go load something or clean a gun"....

I get the same reply. A few years back my life was scuba diving, taught it, worked part time at local dive shop, worked on a dive boat, 18 years on sheriff’s dive team, repaired scuba regulators in my basement and fun diving. Now it’s guns and archery.
When I critique inaccuracies my wife tells me to go play with a valve or gun stuff. 🤣

Hollywood doesn't use magazines, they use clips, even in their revolvers,,,that way they can shoot without reloading...just like with my Ruger No. 1...

The one I've noticed as of late is the sound of the hammer on a Glock being cocked when either the cop or bad guy pulls it.
Wife and I are kind of bing watching "Murder in the Mountains on PBS passport... male cop shoots a bad guy who had a Glock 17 pointed at the female cop... in the inquiry later they are asking him if the safety was on on the gun? I'm commenting to my wife that there is no safety on that pistol and why would that matter even if there was? Of course we know what her answer was....

I've always wondered that about The War Wagon too. Hollywood has some strange ideas when it comes to weapons like whispering in an enclosed space after gunplay...
My wife is addicted to Hallmark Channel movies and Life Is Good. I grin and bear it for the most part... She has about 700 T-shirts and 35 mugs that say Life Is Good and a bunch of Hallmark pajamas.
When I was Chief Engineer the most dreaded letters were DEC and EPA.... Now they are HSN and QVC!!!

That was the first model & early version of the Metal Storm Gun. No magazine required. 😂

My dad smoked Camel non filtered cigarettes since he was a young man until a couple years before he died at age 79. His autopsy showed perfectly healthy lungs. He always said it was the filter that kills you. YMMV.....
I remember in basic training there were little 4 packs of Camels on the tables in the mess hall. Those of us that smoked, grabbed what we could. You couldn't have 'pogey bait' but did get a 'smoke break' occasionally.

As a kid, i heard the filters were asbestos then they changed to fiberglass. I lit a butt and it seemed to be like the plastic fill from my slerping bag.

Used to smoke years ago. The reason why I started was because when we were on work detail in the Navy occasionally they would call for a smoke break for those that had them. So all the smokers would fallout and spend 10-15 minutes laid up against a rock or a tree smoking a cigarette while the rest of us had to keep working. That’s when I decided I needed to start smoking.
Years later i decided to stop smoking. It was when my 2 1/2 year-old granddaughter came up to me and asked me why I smoked and I told her — she said pawpaw. I would like you to quit smoking so you’ll be around for my graduation from school. I quit that day.
