Not a hater. In fact I care, in terms of rooting, very little for college sports in general because of what they've become. I am, however not biased. Which you clearly are. A quick search reveals Saban's home was paid for back in 2014 by a booster fund set up for athletics, to the tune of 3.1 million. I guess you could consider that part of his payment.
I see you also glossed over the overslotting and decommitting to recruits. Thank goodness the SEC stepped in and created rules to stop Saban from being Saban. Though he still routinely decommitts to recruits, leaving them with no scholarship.
Oh, and graduation rates, since you brought it up.The NCAA statistics are purposefully inflated. It makes the NCAA look better to say "we graduate x% of our kids". A simple explanation of NCAA GSR stats, which stands for Graduation Success Rate, actually includes anyone who leaves school in good standing, i.e. they don't actually have to earn a diploma, just not get kicked out. It also includes transfers to other schools as graduates in all schools they attended. So one kid can increase grad rates in 2-3 schools and not leave with a diploma. Those kids that leave early for the NFL, they are counted too. Oh and it also counts graduation over a period of 6 years, not the traditional 4 to help pad those stats even more. Of course you'll never find actual graduation information about Alabama football because NCAA schools routinely hide behind FERPA.
But yes, he does win. Which is really all that matters to the school, students, boosters and fans. Above all else, that is what the NCAA is all about.
