I recently started carrying and firing my P345 regularly. My first impressions were not that great, but after a little work I am becoming quite pleased with it.

I removed the mag safety . . . which Ruger said was not an issue when I sent the gun in to have it looked at for another issue. OK Revhigh, let me have the liability speech.

I started using lithium grease on the trigger bar and slide rails . . . calm down, I used a very thin film almost like oil, but it doesn't run or move. This really smoothed it out. I got the idea after I received it back from Ruger and the slide was greased.

I was just wondering if anyone has gotten a P345 and what they thought about it, issues etc.

I've been carrying mine for right at a year, but I haven't put that many rounds through it (probably only in the neighborhood of 500). It's been great for the limited amount of use it's seen, but I'd also like to hear from anyone who's P345 has a little more wear on the tires.

I bought a P345 new right after they first came out. I put a couple thousand rounds through it in the next two years or so. I took a coworker shooting with me and he fell in love with the P345. In a weak moment, I later sold it to him to purchase a Beretta Px4 Storm .45, which I really love! But I missed that P345 a lot. Happy was the day not long ago when I ran across a fellow who had a nearly new P345 that he wanted to trade. I jumped at the chance to trade a gun I seldom shot for one that I'm thrilled to have again! I've put just over 600 rounds down the pipe of this one, and it's a delight to have and enjoy! That wonderful slim grip is what really endears me to the gun!

I have one and really like it. I do not see any use for the magazine safety for me, so took it out.
I asked Ruger how many rounds is the recoil buffer supposed to be good for and got the standard answer of "works fine, lasts a long time" which wasn't a good answer to the question as far as I am concerned.
Its accurate, reliable and like the magazines.
Has anyone ever shot one enough to need the recoil buffer replaced???

Another happy P345 owner here.I have never carried it,but it has shot every round put through it with no problem. Best $385 I have ever spent.
