Do any of y'all get "the look" at times? Say when you have bought a pair of grips for which you have no revolver? Or maybe a hammer for a Blackhawk, and all of your Blackhawks have all their parts?

And grip frames? All steel and already blued? Or maybe you just got a good deal on a plastic bag of Ruger parts?

"The Look" sort of conveys puzzlement, bewilderment, and maybe a trace of confusion. There is no comment (any longer) just "The Look."

I married my wife for her looks but not the ones she has been giving me lately. She doesn't understand gun ownership math. The formula is quite simple The number of guns that a man should have is shown as X + 1 where X is the number of guns you already have.

You didn’t list buying ammunition in calibers of guns you don’t have yet.

I have some accessories for a Dillion press, just don’t have the reloading press yet.

My husband gets that look when he buys something like a gun or knife but then I told him he got me a fine looking one and he might have wanted to get something for himself too!

I had dies and brass for .17 Rem for many years before I bailed on that idea.

As far as the number of guns goes. My wife knows if the safe door is closed, the guns are reproducing. (and she wonders why her jewelry box has no lid)

To quote Rudyard Kipling:
“A man can never have too much red wine, too many books, or too much ammunition.”

My wife of 52 years still doesn’t get that - even though I don’t drink red wine, or much of any alcohol. But do adhere to the latter two.

.

I've been lucky - in over 54 years of buying guns (etc) during our marriage, my wife has never blinked, except to examine whatever my new (to me) latest/greatest is.

.

Tip....buy guns that look like the ones you already have!
My new .45 Colt Bulldog looks like my old .44 Special Bulldog.

When I get mine out my dogs follow me around for the freshly salted snack.
