The Cat's Diary

Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.

In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. Buttheads!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. I could, however, hear the noises and smell the food.

I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches.

The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicating with the Guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe.....

.... For now.

My cat just came and informed me that his food dish was missing the "the hash or some sort of dry nuggets" and I needed to correct this discrepancy; which I immediately did.

:D :D

As the custodian of 4 cats here,, all of which have different personalities,, I can say they are different than dogs for sure!

I laughed out loud, and "stole" this for my Facebook page. But in fairness to cats, I have had some that were more like dogs than the typical cat. I had a small Norwiegen Forest Car that seemed to think she was a dog and wanted to spend as much time as she could curled up in my lap. And my son's Ragdoll cat is much the same, seemingly enjoying nothing so much as being with humans all the time.

A dog looks at you and thinks, "You give me food, water and shelter. you must be a god."
Whereas, a cat looks at you and thinks, "You give me food, water and shelter. I must be a god."

The biggest differences between cats and dogs is this.
If you die in your house with your dog, three weeks later they find the dog dead at your feet from starvation.
If you die in your house with your cat, three weeks later they find the cat has gained weight.

Frank, you are the cats SLAVE?
gramps, who has a cat also
SERVANT as in "butler". Slavery has been abolished.

I beg to disagree. I was sold on December 19th when the company I was working for was bought. Six days before christmas and with no advance notice. Like any of us had a choice but to go to work for the new company. Slavery exists, at least until next month when I retire.

The saddest part is that the company that bought us has a really crappy reputation in my industry. Several customers have already fired them and aren't happy they slid back in the backdoor.

Regardless of the circumstances, you made the choice to stay. You could have walked away.

Our cats ALL appreciate being social,,, wanting to be with us,, and never get far away from us. We get a lap full of loving every time we sit down. Got one in my lap as I type this too. And she's more Miss Penny's cat than mine. My cat,, is sitting patiently beside me on the desk.
