That's a heck of a package.
The details that went into this gun may seem subtle,, but are actually glaringly stunning.
While I've never been a real avid octagon barrel type of person,, this one could easily change my mind.

I am more of a double action type of guy but if I had the chance I'd probably buy it. Its such an awesome set up!

I was never crazy about Bisley grip frames either; UNTIL I tried them. They actually DO help me shoot more accurately. I have a few Ruger "bisleys" which aren't EXACTLY "Bisley" but they do work for me (and seem a bit more comfortable to shoot and recover). Just FYI, THIS IS more "Bisley" than my Rugers (it's cobbled-up from Uberti parts):

I will admit to not having shot a Bisley, but I have held a few. IMHO it just feels... unnatural, and my POA is off (high). Guess my wrist and hands just work different, and that is okay. I don't resent the people who like the Bisley, it's just not for me. When shooting a larger caliber like the .44 or .45, I prefer the "roll" that the plow handle gives you. And lets be honest... if you are shooting well with either of those calibers (the only ones that really 'roll") do you really need a second shot?

thinckley,, I used to think the same as you. When Bill introduced the Bisley,, I figured it would be a marketing flop.
I was WRONG!
After decades of handling the plow handled Rugers,, it felt "uncomfortable" in my hands when I got ahold of a couple.
I even went as far as wanting a "Bisley .32 H&R mag" because I also felt the .32 cal. guns would not be accepted. I figured I'd have a "collectable" gun very soon once I got one.
Well, then I shot a few Bisley revolvers. And I was humbly ashamed for my failure to give them an honest appraisal. I found they actually did handle quite well, AND in heavy recoiling guns,, they made recoil more comfortable.
In short,, I was wrong about them.
I now enjoy shooting Bisley grip framed guns.
The gun listed above,, is a RW Bisley design,, NOT a Ruger design. There are differences.
HOWEVER,, I tell all people that a gun should fit YOUR hand & feel good when shooting to YOU. Nobody else's opinion matters. But a person should TRY something before passing judgement.
I did & I learned my lesson.

Just indexing the barrel alone is a challenge!!!
.003 cylinder gap would lock up under rapid fire but probably not be an issue.
Beautiful gun out of my price range I’m afraid. I just won’t spend that kind of money. I don’t have nearly as much in this gun, and it will outshoot me. I love the RW grip frame too ! RW trigger and hammer.
An Absolute Bargain for what it is. Tyler doesn't have the Cache of a Bowen but truly awesome. If you took your Blackhawk to a custom Gunsmith and asked for this it would easily be twice as much.

You've obviously never commissioned a custom gun with this level of detail.
That is a frickin BARGAIN!!!
Wow. That is beautiful. Makes me want to build one. The only thing that doesn’t “flip my flag” is the octagon barrel. But everything else is perfect. I especially like the engraving on the grip frame against the case hardened main frame.
If you're ever down this way, I'd be happy to show you some of the contents of my safes.
It's really nice, never said that it wasn't. But, I myself don't want one at that price.
You however, are free to purchase several of them if you'd like.
I don't have any personal experience with TGW. But, Doc Barranti does. And he says TGW is the real deal. If I were in the market, I'd put great weight on Doc's endorsement.
No doubt in my mind that TGW is the real deal. I don’t know him personally but if Ronnie Wells is involved, and he is, then Bobby Tyler is A-OK ! I know Ronnie and he wouldn’t be involved in sub par work. Doc Barranti has a stellar rep also.
There is no question in my mind about TGW. Before I contacted Bobby, I had contacted David Clements to do the work. He declined as he was about ready to retire and gave TGW his recommendation for the place to get the build done. I went there.

I too can vouch for Bobby Tyler. We've enjoyed a few times together, and he's committed to building quality stuff.

I’m pleased to see that Bobby Tyler is a young guy. I’ve been hearing his name, and good things about his craftsmanship for some time.
I’m not currently in the market for a custom job, but I have a couple of ideas in my head.
It’s good to see a new generation of fine craftsmen. That ups the odds that there will be someone trustworthy, when I finally want to bring something to fruition!
