TEXAS STORM STATUS

Been seeing some news reports of big storms in Texas..... Wondering how are forum folk are doing down there. Everyone OK ??? Status please!!

Thanks for asking. Pretty waterlogged here but nothing too bad. At least the rain has ended for a bit. Between the near daily rains of all amounts and the several floods it has been interesting.

OK here. Some parts of Houston within 20-30 miles from me had some straight line winds of 90-120 MPH. Downtown Houston had windows blown out of buildings, transmission towers were blown over and many large trees blown onto houses.

We just got A LOT of rain.

Glad to hear that ya'll are safe, Jim. With the ages of the homes here and septic tanks that have the concrete manhole style cover over the tanks some have had back up issues, but luckily none here so far. The only thing that was driving us nuts was with the weeks of rain no way to mow, simple solution hook up the shredder to the tractor and have at it.

Hey! Thanks! We are ok here in Dallas.

It started Raining on Thursday morning and rained pretty much non stop until 7:30 pm or so.


Houston got the worst of it from what it looks like. My wife's office building down there was damaged. (The company she works for anyway.)

We didn’t even have any high wind here in DFW. Just rain.

I'm north of Kevin and we mostly have had excess rain. Just north of me was a tornado a couple weeks ago.

The good news is that most lakes in north and central Texas are back to "full."
