So, I started deer season this year with a buck killed with my longbow. I thought it might be a good year to see if I could kill a deer with all the weapons (I dont like that word when referring to hunting tools, but can't think of a better one) I normally use - bow, muzzleloader, rifle, and handgun. Muzzleloader season is this week - I have to work today, Thursday and Friday but plan to be out there tomorrow and possibly Wednesday. Ill be carrying my old T/C Hawken .54 and my Ruger Old Army (which is a legal hunting weapon for deer here), so with a little luck I can strike off the muzzleloader box. (Extra credit if I could manage to take one with the Old Army... )
That will leave the modern rifle and handgun, which could get into three categories, actually - scoped rifle, open sight rifle (.303 British Jungle Carbine, Marlin 1894 .44 mag, Winchester 71 .348 WCF?) and handgun (too many choices to list). Hmm..., I like the idea and the challenge.
