Interesting deer seen

The last 2 days,, I've seen (2) different deer that were quite interesting.

Yesterday,, at my son's in-laws house,, on Lake Keowee SC,, a really distinct piebald doe showed up. about 50% white & 50% very dark brown,, almost black. She's well known around there too. Sadly,, I wasn't able to get any pictures. But Jim said she'd been around for a couple of years now.

Then today,, I'm in my deer stand,, and a 6-pointer showed up. Yet,, his left antler,, was completely detached from his skull,, yet was hanging alongside his head,, by a piece of skin about 1-1/2" long. Kinda like a shed antler,, yet it's not time to shed,, AND it was firmly attached from all appearances. Just hanging down,, & would swing a bit as he walked. He looked completely healthy & normal otherwise.

Buddy has been watching this one for a while. We have had several piebald Deer over the years.
Last year in another area of the county a nice little piebald buck was videoed by a friend of my wife, he was killed the 1st week of bow season.

I saw a buck with a 'dangling antler' a few years back. I thought maybe the deer had been hit by a vehicle and the pedicle was broken from his skull but held by the skin?????

Depending on time of year, a tangle with a larger buck could be the cause.

But likely from sort of injury.

I figure that he was injured because I have him on camera. But most often, the antler will break off without any skin attached. First time I’ve ever seen that.
I’m back in the same stand right now hoping he will return. Want to get a better look at him.

I'd hate to bag one like that because I can't afford the full body mount that it deserves, and I don't have room in the house for a mount like that anyway.
