The last 2 days,, I've seen (2) different deer that were quite interesting.
Yesterday,, at my son's in-laws house,, on Lake Keowee SC,, a really distinct piebald doe showed up. about 50% white & 50% very dark brown,, almost black. She's well known around there too. Sadly,, I wasn't able to get any pictures. But Jim said she'd been around for a couple of years now.
Then today,, I'm in my deer stand,, and a 6-pointer showed up. Yet,, his left antler,, was completely detached from his skull,, yet was hanging alongside his head,, by a piece of skin about 1-1/2" long. Kinda like a shed antler,, yet it's not time to shed,, AND it was firmly attached from all appearances. Just hanging down,, & would swing a bit as he walked. He looked completely healthy & normal otherwise.
