Are all new Super Blackhawk .44mag, model 00811, catalog number KS-45N, equipped with the internal lock mechanism? Thank you.

Shipped with:
Wood grips = No lock.
Plastic Grips = Lock.

Unless things have changed. Either way it's easy to ignore.

Yes. No big deal, lock completely hidden under the grips.

That's incorrect. None of the Super Blackhawks are equipped with the internal locks. Neither are the stainless regular Blackhawk models, only the blued regular Blackhawks have them.

In the model designation it would have an "L" if it had a lock. Example; KS-45NL

As with most "anything" Ruger, there are exceptions to the rule....

GNVB-310, s/n RCA-00040, is a .357 cal. Blackhawk with the lock mechanism. I got it yesterday afternoon.

It seems that when it comes to the Blackhawk /Super Blackhawk revolvers Ruger has paused at the "blued" aluminum versions of the Blackhawks when it comes to locks. Hope that's where it ends but probably it's just a first step in introducing it to all the single actions.

Ok,, I forgot to add the part about Ruger collecting where I add the disclaimer: In general most things are true except for the oddities that do occur quite often to casue collectors much more confusion, and make different variations to purchase. Be aware we have the phrase, "with Ruger, anything is possible."
Now I've added the disclaimer,,,! :D
