Back in the days of yore...

Bill Atkinson made me a left-hand Ruger 77 with a stretched magazine box and longer bolt throw.

He put a Ruger sight rail from a #1 rifle on it in order to have a Scout-type scope mount and a barrel mounted rear sight.

Also had a peep rear sight that mounted on the Ruger action where the Ruger scope rings went.

The barrel was a stainless select Shilen chambered in 458 Lott.

Again, note left-hand action.

Who could make me another one to be chambered in 375 H&H ?

The availability of the 375 Ruger makes this conversion pretty superfluous. To make your Lott, Bill likely used a magazine box from a M77 Express made for the Lott. Magazine boxes for the Lott, 375 H&H, and 416 Rigby were available from Brownells until shortly after Ruger quit making the Express rifles. I have a 375 Box and follower that I bought for just such a conversion, but the 375 Ruger came out shortly afterwards, so I never made it happen. Maybe someday... Anyway, the conversion is very easy, and the action modifications can be accomplished with the judicious use of a good dremel tool. If you do a search over on the Accurate Reloading website, you might find a good picture someone posted on the modifications.
