Will a M77 Mk II barrelled action in .30/06 fit into a factory synthetic stock from a .25/06? I know they're both L/A, but are the barrel contours the same?
smoke, I've dropped a lot of barreled actions into synthetic stocks over the years with only minor fitting. I don't foresee a problem, but a quick call to Ruger should answer your question "for sure"!...................Dick :wink:
Most all of the 25's have a magnum contour barrel. The 30-06 has a standard contour if you will. The 30 will fit the 25 stock but there will be a very large gap along the barrel channel. If you can live with the looks it will work and have lots of free floating!
