Stock fit question

Good morning y'all, got a quick question here....., will a short action Hawkeye Ultralight (7mm-08) fit in a standard short action Hawkeye stock or will the gap between the thin Ultralight barrel and the standard stock barrel channel be way too big?

There will be quite a gap. There is a fair difference in barrel profiles between the ultralight and a standard barrel.
