I have a single six 1985 made, and want to swap the frame for a steel frame. Would prefer a steel not stainless steel, but
I'm interested if anyone has one out there.
question. how do you blue stainless steel? I've heat blued steel with great results but stainless???

thanks...Ken

Welcome to the Forum!
Instead of trying to blue a stainless grip frame, why not just get a blued, steel grip frame from a different model & mount it under the Single-Six. The grip frames all (pretty much) use the same hole pattern. It's an easy swap!

I've been trying, even called Ruger, no luck...I've got a stainless grip frame on the way...Steel I can buff and perfect fit to the new elk grips I just made.
no reason to do it...just 'cause........Ken

I have a New Model in the white steel grip frame, made by Qualite/MK who were more noted for there Brass grip frames, no longer produced

$110 shipped should you be interested.
