Stainless Blackhawk convertible 357/9mm

I've noticed a few of these for sale lately on some of the internet sites. I was under the impression that these were made years ago and carried a very premium price. It was also my understanding that Ruger wouldn't re-introduce these since it would devalue the ones already out there, but I find it unusual to see a handful of these new in the box for what appears to be a reasonable price. Oh and the oddest thing is they come with a plastic box which I didn't think was available at the time the stainless 357/9mm convertible was first offered. Has there in fact been a run of these recently??? Any insight into this conundrum would be appreciated.

Ooops, please disregard. I did a search and found out about the Williams guns. Can't believe Ruger did this, but I've always wanted a stainless 357/9mm but didn't want to pay the high price so here's my opportunity.

Yes, they do exist. If anybody is interested in one of these, either KBN-34X or KBN-36X, better get one. If there isn't any demand I can't see Williams continuing their orders for these two models (good for those who do get one!!!)

There was also a member here who sent in several stainless Blackhawks to be fitted with 9mm cylinders and then sold them as "factory convertibles".

Not that I would resell it, but I have a Stainless Liberty 357... I wonder if Ruger would sell and fit a 9mm cylinder on that? It's not a prety revolver but it's my only single action 357 - heck that and my GP100 half lug are my only 357s.

I just don't know how much I really care about 9mm out of the 357.

$615 & $655 seems a bit high but maybe these are costing more nowdays than I thought..
I'd love to have a 4" one..
Wonder why it is listed @ $40 more than the 6"er??

I just paid $630 for a 4" model. There are some 6.5" on Gunbroker for $580. I just wanted the short barrel, and was willing to pay more for it. I think they are higher because they are a limited run. I heard 100 of each, but don't know if that is true?

I have seen more lately than in past years. I just bought a blued 4 5/8 barrel one for $399. This is in California. Most of the regular 357 only new models are going for in the $450 to $500. I did not hesitate and bought it right on the spot. Now this is my best all around revolver for obvious reasons.

Yep....Gas, oil, gold, health care...it all goes up (I call it inflation, but there are those who would rather have you believe that we should be worried about "deflation"....HUH?). Everything goes up but the weekly paycheck. We're not in Kansas anymore.

Maybe the dealer has more out of pocket on that one? Or maybe he realizes its rarity for what it really is, at less than 100 made so far. If some of you guys don't start creating a collector demand for that one, I'll just about guarantee the price is going to continue going up on it.
