Blackhawk .45 stainless.

I guess i haven’t been looking at new pistols for a while. Why is it that any new stainless ones are either non existent or $200 higher than an equivalent super Blackhawk ?
Or if you run across one there’s 40 guys bidding on it ?
Does Ruger limit production numbers like Colt and the SAA ?

You may think it's too high,,, but the market is there for them,, and MANY guns that were $500-$700 just a few years ago are now noticeably higher.

Yep, higher prices.... Glad I have my shooters and not in the market for any other revolvers. But feel sorry for those getting into the sport/hobby (or whatever you want to call it). Of course I thought $700 was high back then!

I've been on the hunt for a .45 bisley SS forever. Ruger only seems to put out the most wanted versions for lipseys, and RSR. Its so irritating!

Was kinda hoping for a 4.6” . They are on gun broker in blue for under $600 . l might have to just suffer with one of those . I picked up 500 pieces of Starline brass and dies in the last week so I’m ready to go .

Keep in mind the stainless blackhawk and single six revolvers have steel grip frames unlike the blued counterparts which are aluminum. I believe stainless has typically been $100 higher than blued just for that reason. The additional difference in price is the ones no longer cataloged command a premium.

Well, when Ruger isn't making them, or even a few every now and then, supply and demand dictates that prices will go up for the ones that are out there.
Ruger apparently is only interested in making black stuff and other models with low gross profit. This is the biggest reason Beretta will probably end up purchasing the entirety of Ruger within the year.
That is my Rosie O'Donnell about Ruger... if you don't make them, people don't have a chance to see what they are like on a gun show table or at a sport shop.
