I did not think I was interested so I did not pay much attention as the events transpired. Now I held one in a gun store and I am wavering.
In full disclosure I have several .327's already but I also have a full blown .32 addiction.
My search-fu sucks so please update me with anything the collective brain knows or thinks about these newly made guns.
I am looking at the .32 H&R ,stainless ,6 shot, 5 1/2", wood grip model.
How many were made ?
Flash in the pan clean-up model or regular production ?
Pro's and con's now that the single 7's abound ?
General prices ya'all have seen on these in gun stores.
Any other + or - theories on why , or not I need this gun .

I looked at these as I have a S7 that I enjoy shooting .32 H&R through. It seems that this run is much smaller than the S7 runs (more like hundreds instead of the ~5000 per barrel length I heard for the S7s). Don't know anything about the duration, etc. of this model but looking at it and what I have I decided that it was not something I needed. The extra hundred or so dollars in price over the S7s when they were commonly available helped (haven't seen this new run much under 600 before shipping), and the fiber optic sight that I would want to replace made me pass. If a used one popped up at the right price and time, I'd consider it, but I don't feel compelled to seek this out.

You're looking at the one with the adjustable fiber-optic sights? My understanding is that this model is a Davidson exclusive, and I have heard that there were only 300 made, though I am not stating that as fact.

I have seen them sell on GunBroker for around $500. What is your store wanting for it?

For ME, this is an ideal combination of chambering, frame size, and stainless construction. I just really don't like the fiber optic sights. Those can be replaced with regular Ruger sights for @$20, though.

I believe that is the one as it is adj. and fiber optic.
A little cheaper at this store, I think maybe $480ish.

It's better to get something if you like it,, when it's available,,, rather than decide later you want it & none can be found.

BINGO! That's what I did. Couldn't decide if I wanted the new stainless 32 or not. Figured I'd better nab one while they are (were?) around. I didn't let the ugly fiber optic sights put me off, as they're easy to change. I have not decided if I'll shoot it or not, having other .32s for that purpose. It can collect dust in the safe for now. Heck, it might even inflate in value like the Blackhawk 8 shot .327s!

That really is more than a little of my motivation here.
Is that estimate of only 300 made solid. That really would put it in the realm of parts clean-up. It would also mean I should move a little faster.

The inventory at Davidson's showed 99 available when first introduced. That went to zero pretty quickly. I never saw any more listed there. It'll be a collectors item because there were no stainless .32s with adjustable sights ever offered when they were in production.

I seriously doubt they were ordered by Davidson's who commonly buys up Ruger's clean up runs and low production models as a regular marketing opportunity. With Ruger, one never knows but I don't expect to see any more of those.
