SP101 32 H&r mag

Please experts chime in school my hick gun loving arse how hard will it be to find a 4' sp101 in 32 h&r magnum

I think they made some in the older run with the blade, windage only adjustable sight but certainly not common, and gonna be tough to find.
My money would be getting the newer 4" 327 version with the fully adjustable sights. Simply dial down the reloads or just shoot the 32 mag.
Fully adjustable sights are mandatory for full happiness with the hotrod 32's.

I hear you I have almost bought one but, I like to revolver to say 32 H&R and I do not care for 327 nothing wrong with I just don't need that much recoil and concuss for my old hands

Well, they are out there,, and like I tell folks; When you seek something,, you may find it but be prepared to pay for it. And the harder it is to find,, quite often,, it'll cost more than you may wish to pay.

Cruise the gun shows,, look on gun sale sites, and sooner or later,, you'll find one.

Yes but i dont like 327 and my heart is set on a revolver that does not have 327 capabilities kind sir do you own a sp101 exclusively chambered in 32 magnum

The 327 is 1/8" longer than the 32 Mag so I would say no. I would also question if some 32 Mags could handle the higher pressure of the 327. My SP101 probably could because it shares the same frame as the .357 model but I wouldn't try it in my H&R's. I just checked Ruger's site. They no longer offer the SP101 in 32 Mag & the .327 is unavailable (it is offered in the GP100 but supplies are limited.) No Blackhawk in either caliber which would be a great platform IMO.

JBP,, I think you are a little confused & backwards in your thinking.

As noted,, the .327 Mag is longer than the .32 H&R mag. And it's also more powerful than the .32 mag.

Just like the ,357 mag is longer & more powerful than the .38 Spl.

It's well known that a .357 can handle the .38 Spl & the .38 Short.

And it's well known among the .32 cal shooters, that a .327 Mag CAN handle & use the .32 Short, the .32 Long, the .32 H&R mag, and of course the .327 Mag.
So basically, any gun chambered & marked for the .327 Mag CAN use lower powdered ammo like I described.

The OP is looking for a .32 H&R MARKED & CHAMBERED SP-101. He doesn't want a .327 Mag. And nothing has been mentioned about making a .327 Mag out of a .32 H&R mag.

Ruger has made the .32 Mag in the SP-101. They also made different models in the .327 Mag,, but they aren't currently available. The Blackhawk WAS available for a shirt time. Great guns for sure!

For the OP,, I spoke with the owner of a Ruger SP-101 in .32 H&R mag yesterday. He said he loves his & wouldn't take $1000 for it. I said they can't be worth that much,, but he insisted they are. Said he looked around to find his & paid dearly for it,, but loves it!

The Blackhawk was made for .327 on the large frame in an 8 shot and only in stainless with a small production run. So you can find them but they did not sell well. The large frame was over kill for the cartridge. The midsize frame would have been better.

Many were made on the .22 small frame in a 7 shot, a much more compatible frame size.
