I finally got my hands on my new Ruger Hawkeye in 22-250 Rem, it sure is a nicely made little rifle. Now to get out and dust some crows. 8)

I put an Elite 3-10x40 on it and ran a few handloads through the 22-250 last night. I was told that the 63 grain Sierra bullets won't stabilize in the 1-14 twist of the Ruger.
I set up a target and got it on paper at 75 yds, I was waiting to see if the heavy bullets would tumble or have any accuracy at all. The first two shots went under 1/2 inch. The 52 grain Sierra HPBT Match bullets were just as accurate, they shot slightly left of the heavier version.
I am going to push it and see if some 70 grainers work, I want a heavy bullet for deer if I;m going to try the 22-250 on deer this year.
