Took my SR9c out for a run in the cold today (7 degrees). Could only get about 100 rounds through because I began to lose feeling in my fingers. Still getting some good groups though! I noticed that several times the slide would fail to lock back after the last round. Being only 7 degrees I just assumed it was due to the cold (if somethings going to break it'll break when its cold). After a short time I figured out that the malfunction was me. For some reason I had my thumb riding on the slide stop lever preventing it from engaging. Moved my thumb a little and sure enough, no more problems. I'm still blaming the "malfunction" on the cold.

I almost always ride the slide lock when I have the flat grip insert put in... and very, very, very rarely when I have the arched one.
