Deleting the Max9 slide stop

At this point I pretty much see it as irredeemable and I'm just going to delete it. As most Max9 owners who put any number of rounds through them the slide randomly locks open on a loaded mag. At this point it's absolutely irrelevant why it happens. The only viable solution is to delete it altogether to solve the problem.

I made a stronger spring. It's simple to delete. Just pull the frame. It and it's spring pretty much fall out. I might try reshaping the foot that engages the mag. It seems to protrude more than necessary.
I saw a post on another forum by someone that said they had took a couple of thousandths off their slide stop. They said 147 grain ammunition was causing it to lock back by bumping it when feeding IIRC.

Had the slide lock open on my new Max9. I bent the slide stop spring to add more pressure to the slide stop, and then polished the top of the slide stop itself. I also stoned a slight bevel to the edge of the slide stop. My Max9 now works like it should now.
