Just field stripped and removed all the cosmoline the factory had in my gun and had a question. After reassembly I noticed when I rack the slide and dry fire the trigger in the finish position and does not return to normal only after reracking the slide does it return to normal. Is this normal or did I do something wrong on reassembly. Probably a dumb question but...I need to know. Going to the range tomorrow and trying to familiarize myself with this gun. Thanks.

this is normal for the sr9s you have to rack the slide to reset the trigger. when you are live firing it does that its self dont worrie you did fine and the pistol is ok !!!

The trigger doesn't reset if the Ejector is down. You have to push it back up into it's operating position. Either you can reach in the open chamber (slide locked back) and pull it up, or insert and remove a magazine (empty for safety), then rack the slide closed. Trigger should reset as it normally would.

Took it to the range Sunday and had 0 problems. I had more fun firing it than my XDM .40 which I love too. It is a nice feeling to have such a great first outing for a new gun.

To go a bit further, it is a no, no to dry fire the SR9/SR9c without a magazine in the gun. Says so in the manual.

edit for clarification.
