SR-22 extra capacity follower

I have made a drop in replacement follower. for the sr-22 pistol. it allws for 13 rounds in the magazine. below is a picture

How does it feed?

Sweet - sign me up. By drop in does that mean it uses the stock spring?

on closer examination it would seem this is not compatible with any device which pushes the follower button down for you - but still have some on order to try out.

Mine arrived quickly and were in good shape. Thanks jfowler.

They installed easy enough. The first time I tried, I had a hard time seating the spring and it wouldn't hold the rounds properly. After getting my dumb self to realize that I should install it with the follower all the way at the bottom of the mag, push the spring into place, and then use the now seated spring to push the follower up into the mag it works very well. I should get out to the range in the next week or two and I'll submit a quick range report after that, but so far they look like a winner.

Quick range trip this morning. Federal bulk, 4 mags, 52 shells, one failure to feed. I'm chalking that up to an under powered round. Had to hang it up early. It is warm for January but the wind chill is down about 10 and my son wanted time with his new pellet gun. I'll check back in a few weeks to try again. Bottom line? I'll be ordering another two for my wife's SR22.
