Even though I bought this about six weeks ago, Saturday was the first time my son had an opportunity to see it and fondle it.
2007 model New Vaquero 4 5/8" barrel, CCH, custom bone grips, .45LC.
As we were on our way to the range to give him his first opportunity to shoot .45LC, we sat for a while in his living room and I told him what I've learned about Vaqueros. He absorbed it all easily and quickly and made to hand the gun back to me.
That's when I told him it was his.
Price of a used New Vaquero= just money
Look on son's face= priceless.
P.S. Since he shot up all the .45LC ammo I'd brought with me, later in the day he went to his step-father's house to order some more reloads for both of us.
When Mike pulled the Vaquero out of his bag his stepfather said, "You dad has one just like that."
"Not any more," Mike said.
