This just in from a friend:

"While out walking along the edge of a pond just outside of The Villages with my soon to be ex we where discussing property settlement and other divorce issues.

We were surprised by a 12'alligator which emerged from the murky water and charged us with jaw open. She must have been protecting her nest because she was extremely aggressive. If I had not had my Beretta Jetfire .25 caliber pistol, I would not be here today! Just one shot to my estranged wife's knee cap was all it took...

The 'gator got her easily and I was able to escape by just walking away.

It's one of the best pistols in my collection. Plus the amount I saved in lawyers’ fees was really incredible."

One of my neighbors here in the SLV down between Hooper and Mosca, he is one crazy bastard, but has a hell of a cool place and has pictures of gators and Nile Crocs laying in snow sunning. Hot water Artesian wells feed his operation, commercial Tilapia and catfish farm and they use gators and crocs for waste management plus sell gator meat, hides, and tourista fun, you can go wrestle one with him if you have a death wish in your bucket.
