Grandboy number 4 Scott slaying some balloon targets this morning using my new homemade shooting bench.
70degrees and bright sunshine - Alaska doesn't get much better than this.

I'll be up your way at the end of August. 2 weeks in an RV with the wife!
Any suggestions will be gladly accepted.

I take my 8 year old grandson to the range most every Wednesday afternoon. I bought him a Savage Rascal left hander about a year ago. He's getting pretty decent with it too, hits a 2 liter pop bottle around 70% of the time at 100yds with the peep sight on that rifle. The hard part is keeping up with .22 ammo. I shoot 400rds per month in Bulls Eye and he shoots 200rds per month.
It's a lot of fun teaching young kids to shoot. It's amazing how disciplined they can become at the range vs. at home.

Great looking picture! You doing good. My only question is what does he have on his feet????
Are those them rubber shoes? Boys/men wear boots when afield.
Remember earth shoes, clogs and others that "they" said were comfortable and trendy? That foot wear does not look masculine to me, I don't care if they are like walking on fresh liver, they ain't manly!
Just another old guys opinion.

Vol...you are a dinosaur...that's the in thing for easy foot ware.....for the young shooter crowd. Get with it daddy--oh....

Ashley wears them things, claims they are comfortable for walking, easy on and easy off; Me, I always preferred the toe thongs and now wear the cheaper canvas shoes tied loosely so they slip on and off with no bending over.
