Single Six for 50th anniversary..........

here is the gun that Ruger really should have used for their 2004 50th anniversary of the Single Six...............




this one came to us this past weekend and was what we had been asking and talking about for years........their 50 th anniversary version of a "scaled down" Mini Vaquero just did NOT cut the ice to many of us back then........

thanks Terry, any idea of how many of each barrel were made?? letter says total of 500 of all 3 barrels lengths,4 5/8, 5 1/2 and 6 1/2................

According to a sales flier I have from Davidson's which also shows a copy of your letter on it, "a special limited edition run of less than a 1000 guns".

After reading it again I would guess that no more than 200 - 250 NR4-F were produced.

thanks and gee, you notice, THEY even call it the "flatop" design....hee hee :roll:

AND they call it a "fixed" sight and it is really a "drift" rear sight, NOT a "groove", ala the Vaquero or the Colt Scouts........ :wink:

Yes they should have used the 5 1/2 in barrel and used a Flat Loading gate. And they should have produced a run of their old model boxes for these guns. After all they made a run of the old model boxes for their Bill Ruger Signature Stainless Steel .22 Standard, so it would have been nice to have a cardboard box for the 50 yr. anniversary Single-Six.

There were right at 500 of each of the 3 different barrel lengths in that production for Davidson's, + or - a few guns either direction.
