Just a quick question about converting a Single Six 32 H&R to Bisley configuration. I believe the frame and trigger would work fine, but Single Six and regular size hammers are different sizes--right? A Single Six Bisley hammer is likely unobtainable--is is possible to alter a regular Bisley hammer to fit the Single Six?

My search on the Forum left me confused, so as usual, information is much appreciated.

Keith,
The full sized Bisley hammer is too long for the Single Six and the blued full sized hammer is just as hard to find as the blued Single Six Bisley hammer. Stainless steel Bisley hammers in either size are obtainable. Check with Ruger. Grab a serial number off of a picture of a Stainless Single Six from an internet search and have it handy when you call. I ordered a couple back in the early fall and had a tough time convincing the expert on the phone that Ruger actually made one. The serial number helped. They had 109 hammers at that time if my memory is right. About $36 apiece I think.

Hope you are looking for stainless....

So, it sounds like you are looking for a blued one.

One option that I'd like to try is having a stainless one blued. I'm aware that people out there can blued stainless, but I've not seen how it looks next to the regular blued gun.

I'll go dig through my parts box to see if I have a blue Single Six hidden anywhere. I think Bushog got my last one.

I checked - sent you a PM Keith.

Here is a Single Six with both a Bisley hammer and trigger. A little work and they both fit and work fine.
