single shot rifle

As a die-hard Ruger owner...I am hesitant to ask this....but I have acquired a nice clean Savage/Stevens model 30 single shot rifle(22). I plan to start a grandson with this little rifle. I want to take it apart to clean and inspect, but I am not sure how to get inside it. Those that know this rifle, know it has cross bolts, but I do not know which direction they need to be drifted out. Any help with this project is appreciated.

I went to the link provided...it only details cleaning the bore....which does not answer my question....and those who show the u-tube link to a model 30 being disassembled....it is one with screws...mine does NOT have screws....only cross bolts for the hammer/trigger/block/lever...…..

I had one that I passed on to my Grandson. Looking through my old notes, you drive the four action pins out from left to right (looking down from the top of the receiver with the barrel pointing away from you).

Just returned from a gun show at the local American Legion. LOTS of long guns. Found a .22 cal Favorite. I was going to get it but the seller wouldn't take my personal check. Such is life. I already have a Crack Shot so I really didn't need it, just wanted it. Handgun prices were outrageously high.
