I have a 2.25" .357 SP-101, and I'm wondering what other options (if any) might be out there for the front sight. Anyone know of any options out there? Maybe something with a little brightness to it like a bright white sight or fiber optic dot?

Here is what I had done. I know it is a defensive revolver but I like adjustable sights and it was my money!

Gemini Customs makes pre-drilled front sight blades for the SP101. I have a plain black one ready for the brand new DAO .357 SP101 I plan to buy.

Optic.planet.com has a trijicon sight listed. It has the radioactive vile that glows in the dark. The reviews say you can see it reflect off the rear sight groove in the dark. Either that or the crimson trace laser grips work great. Ed

Looks like an S&W set up. Does the front sight really need to be that tall and if so how was that determined. I ask because I've toyed with the idea of adj. sights on mine.

Who did that and how much did it cost?......if you don't mind sharing. I have considered letting Bowen install their rough country fixed sights with extra rear notches for different loads......but I'd much prefer your set up. If there ever was a perfect short revolver, it sleeps at your house....love those sights!

I have wondered if you were going the Bowen route but wanted adjustable sights if he would put on an adjustable sight he makes for S&W revolvers? The S&W is often used as probably is the easiest to mount. If one went the Ruger route they would need to weld up some sight "ears" for the Ruger pivot pin.

Thanks for the tip. I might have to look them up. In my opinion, that is the only thing lacking from the SP......I like to use the short carry guns for the longer distance stuff too when possible.
