I put in a range session this morning, the first time for 2019. I shot both my Ruger Three Screw Blackhawk .44 Special and one of the .45 Colt Blackhawks. I have missed the last couple of weeks due to the holidays, and it was evident in my shooting.
But then there was the realization that I don't shoot as well as I once did. And likely never will. I have no problem with vision, as its corrected by glasses and I can still see both the front sight and target in their proper focus.
But muscle tone seems to be waning and its hard to maintain that for me now. Maybe that might improve some come summer when I can get out and do yard work. But my days of splitting cards and cutting strings are behind me now. Not likely to win any turkey shoots now.
But I can still outshoot those who come to our range!
