Yep, we had that last week here in central Illinois.
Two days the thermometer in my truck said 108 and 111.
Cooled down to 90 on Saturday and been that of a tad less since.

91 on its way to 102.
I'm trying to get a metal gate painted and I can only paint for a short time each morning. In the shade and I'll still be soaking wet.
I'm also getting a bad case of cabin fever. Can't wait for October.

I am glad I have those louvers over my car windows. They keep the car much cooler when it is parked in the sun.

The heat here in S. Florida isn't much worse than usual. It has only been hotter than normal for about the last 20 days with heat index warnings for over 100 degree temperatures. You get used to it............. or die.

Received my electric bill today as it said it was 8 degrees hotter this billing period than the same period 1 year ago. July is the hottest month of the year around here so it's been hotter than usual this year.

Been runnin' between 108 to 112 the past 10 or so days. I lost count. Forecast says only 99 for a high today.. Also supposed to be a bunch of thunderstorms and heavy rain. Gues we'll just have to see what happens.

Been at above 120 degrees here in Arizona. Looking forward to 110 degree days.

Here in Northern Illinois, west of Chicago, we have had some hot days in the high 90's, but no worse than usual for mid-summer, in my opinion. Yesterday it was only in the low 80's and quite pleasant.

National media has been hyping this summer as the "hottest ever" but I am skeptical. The Left leaning media support the "climate crisis" worldview and look for any events that will make people believe that we are truly on death's door, as far as the Earth is concerned. The solution is always to give more control to a centralized government, more of our money to that government (since they believe that government bureaucrats are far smarter than we are in how our own money is spent) and surrender more control of our everyday lives to those same bureaucrats. How many people have noticed that what was once "Global warming" became "climate change" so that even when things get much colder they can claim that this is part of the "crisis" that we are in.

My biggest complaint is not about whether or not the climate is changing, or even how much of that change is due to human activity. My complaint is that I have yet to see any real data that would show that major reductions in our quality of life through reduced use of fossil fuels here in America would do anything substantial to affect worldwide climate.

Weather here is normal.... past few days have been so nice that I've actually gone for a long walk with the lovely woman. We haven't experienced any unusual weather; we did have a heat wave (3 days at 90 or above) last week. Evenings are also comfortable; we're around sea level here (I think). YUP, global warming has missed our area completely...!!!

High DESERT here. 3800 ft. elevation and we have the Cascades between us and the ocean. 😋 We do however, on occasion, get a little snow. 😜

That’s one of the reasons we left Central Oregon. I hate the cold. But…I’m not a big fan of the heat either. Went to the “range” up from my house yesterday. Had to pick it in after an hour- my shirt was soaked and I couldn’t see the sights through the sweat in my eyes.

Looks to be warm all month here in SW Oregon…

My wife saw a patient with burns on both knees. He'd knelt down on a piece of metal.
