Nice. Thanks, It reminds me of two kindergarten teachers standing in the hallway making sure all the kids get a drink from the fountain after coming inside.

I like quail . We have a few families of them around here.
There is one family of quail here that started out with 10 babies.
It is now down to the mother , father and one little chick.
It was kind of sad seeing the family get smaller.
With all the hawks and feral cats around here , they don't have much of a chance.

At 2 1/2 to 3 inch tall baby Quail are maybe the fastest runners on the planet. You have to see it to believe it. Even at that they are the McNugget snack of the desert. 19 in that picture will be 15 the next day and 10 the next day. Maybe 2 or three will make adulthood
