Scope mount for 30 carbine

Hey guys,

What do you recommend for a no tap scope mount for my 30 carbine blackhawk? The one I was looking at specifically says it won't work for 30 carbine. I was thinking a fixed power 2x would work well.

I'm not sure what mount you are looking at,, but a Weigand should be just fine. They are used on all kinds of heavier recoiling handguns than a Blackhawk in .30 Carbine.

I had one that was 2 piece and it
clamped on the barrel in front of the receiver.

The Weaver 301 314 mount will work using a clamp on the barrel and the rear sight screw.

It is a one piece mount.

The only downside is it will mark the barrel blue unless tape is used. Also the rear screw may touch the cylinder.

If they specifically mention the 30 carbine there is probably something too it.
The guy that makes it knows things.
Surely not recoil as there is none. Maybe barrel taper, diameter, clearance for ERH or some such.
Phone call would be the way to go.
