I was ask by a few to elaborate on this scammer story. to be upfront I was hesitant to do so. it was 3 years, and daunting. its started when I was looking for a 32-30 colt for my uncle, a retired policeman from NY. I got scammed, so did a few others. not only here, but he was a serial scammer. S/W, Marlin and here. I was pissed. I filed a complaint with Phx PD. spread the word, others filed complaints. that really helped. Investigate James from Phx PD was the bird dog here, we owe him for his hard work. built a great case. but after two years, it went passed my good nature. called James. said his case is solid. but he can't make the state prosecute, or its low on there radar. I kept my cool, thought about it. then I called back to my family in NY. for you guy's that don't know, most of you don't. know my family is heavy into politics. Lawyers from NY/DC. there "Heavy Hitters" they got friends, phone numbers that we would never, ever have. after I explained whats happening. he said he would help. call a friend of a friend. less then a week later I got call from a DC phone number. I was shocked, he introduced himself a a low/ mid level DOJ staffer. I understand you have an issue, I was instructed to look into it. I explained it fully. he said if this was something I was willing to die on the vine for this. it first I was set back in my heals by his question, I ask before I answer, let me explain further. I asked him if someone committed a crime using a gun as a tool would he be prosecuted. he said yes. that's what we do! I said us law bidding citizens have been scammed by this guy and YES a gun was used a tool to commit this crime. he was silent for a minute. and said he gets my point, and ask what I thought his office can or should do to help. I told him I know this is not your level of involvement. but only asking for what's it says on the building that you work in "Equil Justice, Under the Law" I was hopeing maybe a call to the state of AZ showing concern / outcome of this case would show the consurn it deserves. the case was sitting in the States hands on a desk, shortly later it was picked by a prosecutor being acted on. I feel that it's no coincidence that the bail is set at 50K. I went back to NY this November. Thanksgiving dinner was interesting, I got the stink eye from a few, you know, having the gall to ask a faver. My Uncle spoke up and said, Scott treats us like gold for the numerous trips he hosted us in Alaska. his 65yo, and never asked anyone at this table for a faver. the one time he did, I was happy to help. the wheel of Justice are turning, the outcome is never certain. but here's what I do know. "Liberty demands Vigilance" be able to except no when your wrong, but never take no when you know your right. I say to you Scammers out there, we law bidding gun owners will not stand ideally by, give us your best shot. I hope you got 50K on the ready for your jail bond. Enough Said.
