TRUIST ALERT
Received a Truist Alert this morning requesting update of log in information and can see how some could easily be sucked into revealing pertinent information. It looked 'offcial' till you looked closer. The "T" in the address had a dot behind the final "T" and it said "ALERT" not "ALERTS" (with a S). like all email from them. The kicker is the address it came from :
[email protected]e

There's hundreds of them. I get several a week.

My SPAM filter works overtime. It didn't catch the one I spoke of above. I am an "attention to detail" kinda guy so I check lots of incoming messages and emails for legitimacy. Unfortunately many don't and get sucked in and can lose all the banked money.

That's why they do it.

I'm with Truist and personally think they STINK ; MUCH MUCH BETTER when it was SUNTRUST alone !!
I must agree. We were BB&T till the change. Our bank was about a ten minute round trip from the house. So, they closed that and the nearest is now a 20 mile round trip. The girl teller, that we have known for many years did relocate so at least we see a friendly face when there.
Still the purpose of the post is to alert people to be very careful. Truist never requests updates via email so if any information is requested it is a phony.
