SBH Scope Mounts

This is the Weaver "no-tap" mount on my .30 Carbine Blackhawk. It has held up well so far.

I had a B-Square mount of similar design on my Super Blackhawk. It didn't work well when shooting 300gr XTPs. Would not stay tight and wore a spot through the blueing on the barrel above the ejector rod housing. I liked shooting it scoped so I had it drilled and tapped for an SSK Industries TSOB mount. I have been very happy with it.

I have a .357 BH and like this no-drill Weaver mount but how does a Ultradot attach to the Weaver base?

Weaver style scope rings, your choice, unless the Ultradot comes with some. They will be 1" or 30mm depending on the scope tube diameter.

Stratton Custom drill & tap mount, not what I would reccomend.

What about the L/T open dot and what are the pros/cons of the open vs. tube red dots?
Thanks,

The SSK TSOB mount is one of the, if not THE, best scope mount. However, it is a D&T mount. Also, don't forget to factor in shipping costs of a handgun both ways. That will add quite a bit; another $100 or more.
