Putting a scope on a 5041 Redhawk?

I've been wanting a 44 mag and the local shop just got in a 5041. Before I grab it I wanted to ensure I could mount a scope, but my google-fu has failed me. Redhawk Supers are all over the place with scopes, but I can't find a thing, not even a photo of a scoped 5041.

Is this just not doable?

Welcome to the Ruger Forum! 🤠

One option if it has the spring-loaded front sight setup: https://jackweigand.com/products/ruger-redhawk-scope-mounts-no-drill-weig-a-tinny/

Sights need to be removed for install. Setup is available in silver or black.

Weaver used to have a no-drill mount as well, but it had less mounting slots, and wasn't as "clean," to my eye.

NDIH, I have one of those Super Redhawks! 🤪

Few here know off the top of their head what configuration a 5041 is.

Posting a pic of the gun or better description will help you get more comments.

There are several......all I did was google it and POOF there are results.....and I don't even have a white belt in "google-fu"

You can also go to manufacturers sites, Brownells, Midway, Natchez, etc........and search.

Welcome to the forum.

Here's the model

I thought you could just clamp rings to the space over the barrel, but I am just not finding anything.

Oh and thanks for the welcome everyone :)

Oh yeah, people scope those. Looks like Xman above hooked you up with good info.

I wish Ruger would offer the integral ring cuts again on the standard Redhawk, and on the GP100. I have used an EGW mount on my GP100s and they work ok, even the one that I didn't have to drill into the top strap to mount. The mounts for the standard Redhawks that are only secured by the rear sight holes or clamps I never really trusted.

I would just drill and tap the topstrap for the Weigand mount as I did on my Bisley. It is forever, but it will never move.

Well, he DID answer.
And posted you pics of the two most logical.
And listed retailers who sell them.

The Redhawks you can "just clamp rings" onto haven't been made for 30-plus years. So, things like what X posted for you are generally the best option.

And he's right that all the Redhawks now are the same except for caliber and barrel length.
