Savage model 40 super sporter

Does any one have an exploded view of this gun? We have one in the shop that someone took apart and we're trying to re assambe iut. Steve

woodpile, If you have a Numrich parts catalog, the parts breakdown is in it for the Savage Model 40 and it is a pretty simple and straight forward procedure to put the gun back together assuming you have a "competent" gunsmith in your shop. Brownell's Encyclopedia of Modern Firearms Parts & Assembly also has the same parts breakdown in it for the Model 40. Hope this gets you started. I have worked on these before and they are not complicated by any means. The Savage Model 340 is a more "modern" improved version of the old Model 40..........................Dick :wink:

The problem we are having is the breakdown in the numrich catalog has all the parts laid out without showing there relationship to each other.
