Not a big deal, but noticed both of these have a scalloped tear drop shaped ejector rod button, or whatever the proper nomenclature is. I have a 4 year old Montado, and a SS Flattop .45 LC/ACP 4 5/8 and neither have this seemingly unique feature.
Is it just found on the SASS models, or are the general run of the mill NM Vaqueros sporting this feature, now?
Will post a pic if this is astounding, new, and puzzling. Doubt that is the case, though.

The New Vaqueros incorporated several features requested by Cowboy Action shooters (their biggest market for the fixed sight Vaqueros): The crescent ER & the longish hammer (niether on Montados), the mid frame size, the return to the old model Colt size grip frame, and the 1/16" thinner grip frame with thinner grips.

The crescent ER and long hammer didn't come out as well as the frame size and grip frame improvements IMO.
I just use Colt's E Rods, SBH triggers, bypassed locks and old style hammers on mine:
